CHRISTIE'S FIRST RIDE OUT ON FLASH

HI Christie and Matthew,

Well, Flash' training under saddle is progressing well, as I'd exect from
such and intelligent, good natured boy! He seems to really enjoy the
interaction and attention he is getting and learning anything new is a treat
for him! Although carrots are good too...

This afternoon Christie got to ride Flash outside the arena. Again, we just
went for a short ride, covering territory he had already seen. This was more
a milestone for Christie than Flash. She seemed so pleased to finally be
riding her new horse on a "real" (if short) ride. Flash behaved impeccably
and the two are really starting to communicate well.

I am pleased that Christie is able to keep her aids very subtle and get a
prompt, obedient response from Flash. They look great together. Flash is
just a nice size for Christie and, of course, the two redheads together look
good!

Next: Flash' first trot under saddle.
